Job summary

Mystic Lake Casino Hotel in Prior Lake, Minnesota is seeking a Maître d’ to be the primary steward of the guest experience from arrival through departure. You will oversee the host stand, manage reservations and walk-ins, and coordinate seating flow to ensure a seamless, exceptional front-of-house aligned with our service standards.

This role focuses on guest flow, first impressions and service orchestration throughout peak periods.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years front-of-house experience in upscale or fine-dining environments.
• Prior experience as Maître d’, Lead Host, or comparable elevated guest-facing role.
• Strong knowledge of reservation systems and table management best practices.
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to remain calm, polished, and exercise sound professional judgment in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Proven ability to collaborate and influence without formal authority.
• Demonstrated organization and attention to detail in service settings.
• Evenings, weekends and holidays work availability required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the host stand during service and ensure alignment with standards.
• Manage reservations and walk-ins, optimizing seating, pacing, and table turns.
• Coordinate seating assignments to balance server sections and support kitchen flow.
• Provide in-the-moment direction on seating priorities and special requests to hosts and servers.
• Collaborate with Restaurant Leadership to support smooth service execution.
• Assist in front-of-house tasks as needed and monitor guest satisfaction.
