Job summary

Cascada F&B LLC, operating Terra Mae in Portland, seeks a Guest Experience Coordinator Lead to orchestrate the guest journey and lead the host team. You will manage events, private dining, reservations, and VIP interactions to ensure a flawless guest experience from arrival to departure.

This leadership role requires hands-on coordination, strong communication, and the ability to de‑escalate issues with grace while keeping the dining room running smoothly.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a guest-facing leadership role within a high-volume setting such as restaurant or hospitality.
• Experience managing private dining and event logistics, including proposals, contracts, and day-of execution.
• Hands-on proficiency with reservation/table management platforms (Resy or similar).

Responsibilities

• Lead events and private dining from inquiry to execution.
• Optimize the reservation book (Resy) to maximize covers and balance kitchen flow.
• Oversee host stand, entryways, and overall guest journey for smooth service.
• Communicate across front door, servers, and back-of-house to handle special requests.
• Lead pre-shift briefings, including VIPs and reservations, to prepare the team.
• Train and coach new host staff; maintain morale and adherence to SOPs.
• Welcome regulars and VIPs by name; manage waitlists and guest satisfaction.
