Job summary

Marriott Baton Rouge is seeking a Maintenance Person to perform repairs, preventive maintenance and basic upkeep across the property, ensuring a safe, clean, and fully functional hotel environment for guests and team members.

You will handle routine tasks in guest rooms and public areas, respond to maintenance requests, assist with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry, and help maintain tools and workspace while following safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance or building repair experience preferred.
• General knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and mechanical work.
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
• Reliable, safety focused, and team oriented.
• Ability to lift, move, climb, and work with tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine maintenance and repair tasks in guest rooms and public areas.
• Respond to guest maintenance requests and resolve issues promptly.

• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and building systems.
• Maintain tools, storage areas, and workspaces in a clean and organized condition.
