Job summary

Workstream Maintenance Assistant for a hotel in Baton Rouge maintains guest rooms, public spaces, and exterior areas. You perform carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting and more, helping housekeeping and responding quickly to guest needs.

Responsibilities include inspecting areas, repairing items, supporting preventative maintenance, and keeping proper records while ensuring safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of all maintenance trades including basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for operation and repair of hotel equipment.
• Working knowledge of basic hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Inspect guestrooms, public space, and back of the house for repair or replacement needs.
• Repair or replace items such as lights, fixtures, faucets, or HVAC components.
• Assist in preventative maintenance program and maintain inventory of supplies.
• Maintain records of repairs and communicate with Chief Engineer or GM.
• Support housekeeping with maintenance tasks and respond to guest requests.
