Job summary

Bunkhouse in Austin is seeking a friendly Host/Hostess to warmly welcome guests, seat them, and help ensure a high standard of service in our dining areas. You will manage reservations, assist guests with menus, and coordinate with kitchen and staff to provide a seamless dining experience.

Ideal candidates will have basic hospitality experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required or preferred.
• Six months of related experience in hospitality or service industry.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the primary language of the workplace (English).
• Ability to understand other computer programs (e.g., Property Management System).

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas.
• Provide guests with menus and answer questions about menu items.
• Maintain cleanliness and setup of dining and serving areas.
• Record reservations and coordinate seating to optimize guest experience.
• Coordinate with kitchen and serving staff to ensure smooth dining operations.
• Assist in planning events or functions as needed.
