Job summary

Copper Canyon Grill Arundel Mills in Hanover, MD is seeking friendly Hosts to welcome guests, manage reservations with OpenTable, and help create a smooth dining room flow. This part-time role emphasizes hospitality, teamwork, and a polished appearance.

You’ll work weekends and evenings/holidays, receive paid training, and eligible medical, dental, and vision benefits as part of a growing restaurant group committed to service excellence.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, genuine, and memorable first impression by welcoming every guest with professionalism and enthusiasm.
• Manage reservations and waitlists using OpenTable while maximizing seating efficiency and guest satisfaction.
• Escort guests to their tables while introducing them to their server and ensuring a seamless handoff.
• Maintain awareness of reservation notes, special occasions, VIP guests, accessibility needs, and seating preferences.
• Communicate effectively with managers, servers, and support staff to ensure smooth dining room flow.
• Answer incoming phone calls professionally while assisting guests with reservations and restaurant inquiries.
• Maintain a polished, organized, and inviting entrance and lobby at all times.
• Monitor dining room pacing and table availability to provide an exceptional guest experience.
• Assist with resetting tables and supporting the dining room as needed.
• Demonstrate thorough knowledge of menus, beverages, gift cards, and restaurant offerings.
• Complete opening, running, and closing side work, including rolling silverware, polishing menus, stocking supplies, and maintaining the cleanliness of the entrance and dining room.
• Support teammates and contribute to a positive, hospitality-focused culture.
• Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by a manager at any time.
