Job summary

Hotel Magdalena, part of the Bunkhouse family, seeks a Host/Hostess to warmly welcome guests, seat them, and ensure a stellar dining experience. You will coordinate with kitchen and staff, manage reservations, and uphold the hotel’s culture and service standards.

The role requires weekend availability, basic computer and language skills, and hospitality experience. Benefits include wellness, time off and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Weekend availability required.
• Six months of hospitality or service experience.
• Ability to read, write and understand standard workplace language.
• Knowledge of Property Management System or similar software helpful.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas.
• Provide menus and information about specials.
• Inspect dining areas for cleanliness and setup.
• Record dining reservations and coordinate with kitchen and staff.
• Supervise dining room staff to ensure prompt, courteous service.
• Assist in planning events and functions.
• Direct guests to lounges and waiting areas.
• Handle payments and cash receipts if applicable.
