Job summary

Wet Willie's host position in Burbank, CA is seeking a friendly, proactive individual to greet guests, assist callers with questions, and seat guests efficiently. You will also roll silverware, clean menus, and help manage the wait list to meet guests’ expectations. A courteous farewell invites guests to return.

Candidate should have at least 6 months in guest or food service, be able to communicate in English, stay composed under pressure, and handle light cleaning tasks as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of guest service, food service experience preferred.
• Able to speak, read and understand English.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with guests and fellow team members in a friendly, enthusiastic and outgoing manner.
• Able to communicate well.
• Able to work well under pressure and with a sense of urgency to meet deadline.
• Able to lift up to 20 lbs. as needed.
• Able to be on your feet and alert for extended periods of time.
• Able to have continuous use of hands and arms; continuous bending, reaching and twisting.

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests in a friendly and inviting manner.
• Engaging with guests who call with questions.
• Engaging in friendly conversation as you seat guests in a timely fashion.
• Rolling silverware and cleaning menus.
• Managing restaurant wait list to ensure guests' expectations of the wait are met.
• Sincerely thanking guests as they leave and inviting them to return.
