Job summary

Flyover Chicago in Chicago, IL is seeking a Guest Experience Guide (GEG) to ensure fun, safe, and efficient movement of guests through the attraction.

As a GEG you may wear multiple hats—Greeter, Flight Guide, Entry Scanner and Photographer—emphasizing outstanding guest service, accurate information, and positive interactions. Seasonal part-time and regular full-time roles are available; wage is $18/hr USD and interview discussions cover perks and benefits.

Qualifications

• Availability to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Comfortable standing for extended periods indoors and outdoors.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds as needed.
• Solid knowledge of Chicago and local area.
• Experience in tourism/hospitality is an asset.
• Public speaking experience is an asset.
• Fluency in a language in addition to English is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and answer questions in a welcoming and positive manner.
• Provide accurate information on experience, price, restrictions, and content.
• Capture guest photos and be knowledgeable about photo packages.
• Organize large groups into queues and communicate wait times.
• Direct guests around the attraction and assist onto the iRide gondolas.
• Ensure ride and facility safety precautions are met and report concerns.
• Lead by example to maintain Flyover procedures, safety and service standards.
• Use proper radio protocol for communications.
• Assist with evacuation and shelter-in-place procedures if needed.
• Share knowledge about Navy Pier, Chicago attractions, and local tips.
• Other duties as needed.
