Job summary

Hotel Mission De Oro is seeking a friendly Part-Time Host to welcome guests and manage the dining room flow. You will greet customers, maintain a clean front-of-house, and support servers and expeditors to ensure timely service.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years serving experience, a California food handlers' certificate, and good math skills for handling payments and reservations. Training available, flexible schedules include nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• California food handlers' certificate required.
• 1–2 years serving experience preferred.
• Reading customer body language helps timing orders.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly on arrival and thank departing guests.
• Keep front-of-house neat, organized, and presentable.
• Follow sanitation procedures and safety standards.
• Maintain wait lists and balance guest flow across stations.
• Answer phones and take reservations for parties.
• Assist servers and expeditors with timely food delivery.
• Learn menu items and upsell where appropriate.
• Restock dishes and assist with side duties as needed.
• Clean tables, buss carts, and dining areas between guests.
• Observe guests to ensure high-quality service and refills.
