Hyatt Hotels Corporation in Downtown Gainesville is seeking a self-motivated Hotel Host to join our opening team. The Hotel Host greets guests, prepares welcome amenities, and ensures a seamless front desk experience with professional cash handling and guest privacy.

Qualifications

• Proficient knowledge of computer applications.
• Strong analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant customer service role preferred.
• Strong organization and computer skills required.
• Must be able to work independently and simultaneously manage multiple tasks.
• Must be outgoing and a proven self-starter.
• Weekends and holidays may be required as business needs warrant.
• Must have schedule flexibility for both AM/PM shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Requires strong command of the English language to include speaking, reading and writing.
• Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast paced position.
• Must be able to multi-task.
• Ability to lift, pull, and push moderate to heavy amount of weight (minimum of 20 lbs).
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and move moderate distances.

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests and providing excellent service.
• Preparing/assembling welcome amenities and handling cash drops.
• Maintaining a clean and organized front desk area and handling confidential guest information.
• Resolving guest complaints professionally and quickly and coordinating with Food & Beverage operations as needed.
• Managing guest check-in/out and servicing meeting rooms.
