The Sports & Social Club in St. Louis is seeking a friendly Host to manage guest arrivals, reservations and seating with a focus on delivering an upbeat guest experience.

Responsibilities include answering phones, maintaining the wait list, guiding guests to seating, and coordinating with staff to ensure timely seating for events and parties. Fluency in English is required, with other languages a plus.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience with customer service and/or hosting.
• Must speak fluent English, other languages preferred.
• Reading and writing abilities are used for reservations and seating charts.

Responsibilities

• Answer the phones and take messages/reservations.
• Maintain an accurate wait list when necessary.
• Welcome guests at arrival and bid farewell as they leave.
• Greet guests in a friendly and upbeat manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with all guests and with management when issues arise.
• Coordinate seating arrangements for fast, courteous service.
• Occasionally bussing of tables to expedite seating of waiting guests.
• Anticipate needs of scheduled private parties.
