Job summary

Whiskey Cake - Las Colinas in Irving, TX is seeking a friendly host/hostess to welcome guests, manage reservations, and guide seating with efficiency and warmth.

You will greet guests, confirm times, offer alternatives when needed, and communicate wait times. OpenTable experience is a plus, and a high school diploma along with the ability to stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs are expected.

• Must read, write, and speak English.
• Stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• OpenTable experience is a plus.
• High School diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Interact with guests and co-workers in a professional, hospitable, and friendly manner.
• Arrive on time for scheduled shifts, ready to work; proper uniform is worn.
• Properly accept and book reservations; offer alternatives when desired times are unavailable.
• Calculate, note, and quote accurate wait times; suggest bar options during waits.
• Keep floors, entryways, and aisles clean and debris-free.
• Assist in bussing tables when needed and support front-of-house operations.
• Answer all phone calls and route inquiries to the proper department.
• Provide guests with directions and address concerns knowledgeably.
