Job summary

KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot is seeking a guest-focused Host to warmly welcome guests, manage waitlists, and assist with seating and initial drink orders. You will be the first and last impression, helping to create a smooth dining experience in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and a passion for delivering world-class service are essential. This role supports front-of-house operations and requires a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• No prior restaurant experience required, but is a plus.
• Excellent communication and a passion for world-class service.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Push, pull or lift up to 50 lbs.
• Occasional kneeling; comfortable around grills/hot cooking surfaces.
• Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and warmly on arrival.
• Manage waitlists and provide accurate wait times.
• Seat guests, provide menus, and assist with initial drink orders.
• Answer menu questions and communicate KPOT brand.
• Provide information on menu, pricing, hours, promotions and policies.
• Assist with side work and opening/closing tasks.
• Observe and monitor table turnover; note occupied/dirty/ clean tables.
• Clean and organize front-of-house and host station.
• Thank guests and invite them to return.
• Inform management of large parties, special requests, or guest concerns.
• Answer phones professionally and courteously.
• Handle to-go inquiries or direct to the appropriate team member.
• Ensure cards, menus, and other paper goods are stocked.
• Monitor restrooms and report issues.
• Maintain a positive, energetic hospitality attitude at all times.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
