Job summary

Bethany Blues in Lewes, DE is seeking a friendly host/hostess to welcome guests, manage waiting lists and assist with seating arrangements. You will answer questions, provide menu knowledge and support carryout when needed.

A positive attitude helps ensure guests have an enjoyable start to their dining experience. Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking reservations, guiding seating, and assisting with bussing or serving duties as required to maintain smooth service and high guest

Qualifications

• Greeting guests upon entry and managing waiting list.
• Providing menu knowledge and answering initial questions.
• Seating guests and maintaining table rotation.
• Handling reservations by phone and assisting with carryout.
• Resolving customer concerns with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Supports Bethany Blues’ mission, vision and values.
• Greeting guests as they enter, and putting them on a waiting list as necessary.
• Providing guest with minus and answering any initial questions.
• Seating guests at tables or in waiting areas.
• Engaging with guests to ensure they’re happy with food and service.
• Responding to complaints and helping to resolve them.
• Answering phone calls, taking reservations and answering questions.
• A knowledge of the menu and carryout.
• Help out with other positions in the restaurant as needed.
• Provide efficient and friendly service to all customers.
