Job summary

Terrain Café in Wayland, MA is expanding and hiring for an August 10th start date. We are building our opening team and seeking dynamic hospitality professionals for Host roles. Both full-time and part-time positions are available.

As a Host, you’ll greet guests, manage reservations and seating flow, and communicate with service teams to maintain a smooth, garden‑to‑table dining experience. OpenTable familiarity and flexible availability are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of hosting or customer service experience preferred.
• Familiarity with OpenTable or similar systems.
• Flexible availability – mornings, evenings, weekends, and select holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests with warmth, efficiency, and professionalism.
• Assist with coats, strollers, accessibility, and seating needs.
• Accommodate guest requests (highchairs, dietary restrictions).
• Follow brand Steps of Service from arrival to farewell.
• Maintain calm, polished demeanor during peak periods.
• Serve as liaison between front- and back-of-house teams.
