Job summary

The Boca Raton in Boca Raton, FL, is seeking a Host/Hostess to greet guests, manage reservations with SevenRooms, and guide guests to tables in a polished front-of-house environment.

The ideal candidate has experience in refined or high-volume dining, strong English communication, and a calm, professional demeanor. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred; experience in a resort setting is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior host/hostess experience in refined or high-volume environment preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival, confirm reservations, and acknowledge special requests or occasions.
• Escort guests to their tables, offer chair assistance, present menus, and ensure guests feel welcomed and informed.
• Thank guests upon departure and provide a positive final impression of the restaurant.
• Respond to guest questions and concerns with professionalism, empathy, and solution-oriented communication.
• Manage reservations, walk-ins, waitlists, and special requests using SevenRooms.
• Accurately update guest notes, preferences, and special occasions within SevenRooms.
• Answer incoming phone calls promptly and courteously, providing accurate information regarding reservations, hours, menus, and events.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication between guests, service staff, and management.
• Coordinate seating and table assignments to support service pacing and guest satisfaction.
• Communicate table status clearly with Servers, Captains, and Management.
• Monitor dining room activity throughout service and adjust seating flow as needed.
• Support daily preshift meetings by communicating guest notes, and operational updates when assigned.
• Ensure the host stand and entry area remain clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including stocking supplies, cleaning, and assisting with side work.
• Assist with guest needs as appropriate, including directions within the resort, or special accommodations.
• Attend required meetings and training.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall service excellence.
• Reports to the Restaurant General Manager.
• Works closely with Servers, Culinary Team, and Restaurant Management.
• Has regular, direct contact with restaurant guests and members.
