Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience as a Host/Hostess or restaurant greeter in a refined or high-volume environment preferred.
• Working knowledge of restaurant operations and guest flow.
• Strong verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and understand written English, including reservations, guest notes, and event details.
• Ability to speak English clearly and professionally with guests and team members.
• Ability to remain composed and welcoming in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Ability to move efficiently throughout a busy dining room.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival, confirm reservations, and acknowledge special requests or occasions.
• Escort guests to their tables, present menus, and ensure guests feel welcomed and informed.
• Thank guests upon departure and provide a positive final impression.
• Respond to guest questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
• Manage reservations, walk-ins, waitlists using SevenRooms.
• Update guest notes and preferences in SevenRooms.
• Answer incoming calls with information about reservations, hours, menus, events.
• Maintain clear communication between guests, staff, and management.
• Coordinate seating and table assignments to support service pacing.
• Communicate table status with servers and management.
• Monitor dining room activity and adjust seating flow.
• Attend required meetings and training.
• Perform opening/closing duties, stock supplies, side work.
• Assist guests with directions within the resort or accommodations.
