Job summary

Evolving Solution Services is seeking a Host/Hostess in Boynton Beach, FL to welcome guests and manage seating to optimize dining room flow. You will coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and great service.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to stand for long periods, and basic computer skills for reservations and seating software. Prior hospitality experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in hospitality or food service.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and manage a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills for managing reservations and seating software.
• Experience using reservation and seating management software (e.g., OpenTable, Resy).
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Prior experience working in a high-volume restaurant or hotel environment.
• Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage the seating process to maximize dining room efficiency.
• Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate accurate wait times to guests.
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service.
• Answer guest questions regarding menu items, seating policies, and special accommodations.
• Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally and elevate issues when necessary.
• Manage reservation systems and update seating charts as needed.
• Ensure the host station and entrance area are clean, organized, and welcoming.
