Job summary

Destination Hospitality in Steamboat Springs, CO is seeking a Front of House Host to warmly greet guests, manage reservations, and help keep the dining flow smooth. You will coordinate with servers, seat guests thoughtfully, and maintain an organized host stand throughout shifts.

• Experience managing OpenTable reservations and turn times.
• Greet guests and manage reservations with accuracy and warmth.
• Stand for extended periods; availability nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, confirm reservations, and provide accurate wait times.
• Seat guests thoughtfully based on server sections and guest preferences.
• Maintain a clean host stand and communicate delays with empathy and accuracy.
• Manage OpenTable settings, notes, and turn times; capture preferences.
• Coordinate with servers and management to balance covers and ensure smooth handoffs.
• Assist with menus, waters, bussing, and resetting to maintain momentum.
• Uphold DH standards for appearance and professionalism.
• Friendly, professional communication; poise under pressure.
• Ability to stand, walk, and host for extended periods; nights/weekends/holidays as needed.
