Avenue of the Arts Costa Mesa – A Tribute Portfolio Hotel is seeking a polished Host to greet and seat guests, manage reservations, and support service standards in a fast-paced dining environment.

You will use digital tools to communicate, greet guests warmly, and coordinate with servers to ensure smooth dining experiences. The role requires hospitality focus, reliability, and the ability to work a varied schedule in a landmark hotel setting.

Qualifications

• One year of restaurant host experience.
• Ability to deliver excellent service.

• Willingness to work evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests promptly using professional demeanor.
• Make product recommendations and communicate menu details beyond basics.
• Input orders into POS and ensure accuracy of to-go orders.
• Coordinate with kitchen and managers on allergies or special requests.
• Assist with table setup, reset tables quickly, and maintain a clean host stand and entrance.
• Provide travel assistance and farewell courteous interactions with guests.
