Job summary

ROOP Chicago is seeking friendly hosts to welcome guests and confidently manage the flow of tables to ensure seating on time, coordinating with servers for the best guest experience (RESY).

You will greet guests, seat them, balance tables, answer phones and voicemails, keep the host stand clean, manage to-go orders, and communicate with the team to handle birthdays, anniversaries and special requests while staying calm and friendly.

Qualifications

• Previous hosting/guest service experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly with team and guests.

Responsibilities

• Can confidently manage the flow of tables to ensure guests are seated on time (RESY).
• Balance tables between servers to provide the best experience to guests.
• Communicate with the team and handle birthdays, anniversaries and special requests.
• Maintain a friendly and calm attitude.
• Seat guests at their tables in a friendly manner.
• Answer the phone and return voicemails.
• Keep the host stand clean and presentable at all times.
• Manage To-go orders and ensure correct orders handed to guests.
• Assist with bussing/turning tables to ensure guests are seated on time.
• Know the menu and restaurant policies to answer questions in person or on the phone.
• Punch in to go orders for walk-in guests.
