Job summary

Varnish Lane, founded in Washington DC, seeks friendly front desk associates to create the ultimate client experience across our DC locations. You will support daily shop operations, maintain a welcoming environment, and help educate clients on services and products.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year in retail or hospitality, are reliable and punctual, and can work across multiple locations between Friendship Heights, West End, and Mt. Vernon Triangle. Competitive salary and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in retail or hospitality (salon/spa a plus).
• Candidates must be reliable and punctual with strong guest-facing skills.
• Willingness to travel between DC locations and work across multiple shops.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a welcoming, positive disposition with clients.
• Handle client feedback calmly and communicate follow-up as needed.
• Assist shop manager with client follow-up and education on services/products.
• Educate clients on services, upgrades, and retail products; act as brand ambassador.
