Qualifications

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• ABC Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) and California Food Handler Certification or ability to obtain
• Previous restaurant hosting or serving experience preferred
• Customer-focused mindset with attention to detail
• Clear communication in person and over the telephone
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor
• Strong organization and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
• Clear verbal communication with guests and team members
• Ability to build rapport and create a welcoming atmosphere for every guest

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide a welcoming, positive first impression
• Seat guests efficiently, considering table rotation, guest needs, and server balance
• Provide menus and inform guests of current promotions or specials
• Manage the flow of guests into dining and bar areas, with accurate wait times
• Communicate guest needs to servers, bussers, and management for seamless service
• Operate the POS system for takeout orders or payment processing as needed
• Anticipate guest needs and assist in creating a smooth, enjoyable experience
• Complete opening, side work, and closing duties to prepare for service
• Maintain all safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards per Health Department and restaurant guidelines
