Mason Street Grill at Pfister in Milwaukee is seeking a friendly Host who can warmly greet guests, manage reservations, and seat guests efficiently to set the tone for a superior dining experience.

You will escort guests to tables, present menus, and coordinate with servers to ensure smooth service during busy periods. This role requires strong communication, a polished demeanor, and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Prior restaurant or hospitality experience required.
• Host/hostess experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain composed.
• Ability to move through crowded spaces while escorting guests.
• Knowledge of proper etiquette and guest service standards.
• Familiarity with reservation systems such as OpenTable preferred.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet guests as they arrive and check for reservations or log walk-ins.
• Escort guests to their tables, present menus and wine lists, and introduce the assigned server.
• Manage the flow of seating to ensure even distribution and timely service.
• Receive, record, and organize reservations and special requests.
• Answer phones promptly and courteously, using proper greeting and communication standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entry area.
• Assist with coat check and validate guest parking.
• Support servers and bussers by assisting as needed to ensure seamless service.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
