Job summary

Makers Union in Reston, VA seeks a friendly Host to greet guests, manage reservations, and coordinate seating to ensure a smooth dining experience. You will maintain a welcoming atmosphere and support servers and team members to keep guest flow efficient.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume, upscale casual dining or equivalent service environment.
• Able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and some holidays.
• Able to stand and walk for 6–8 hours.
• Lift and carry up to 20 lbs (menus, high chairs, booster seats).
• Reach, bend, and stoop occasionally; assist guests with inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with warmth and manage reservations and seating.
• Provide accurate wait times and assist guests with requests.
• Maintain cleanliness at the host station and manage menus.
• Coordinate seating with servers to optimize turnover and flow.
• Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints professionally.
