Job summary

IHOP® is seeking a friendly Host/Hostess to greet guests, seat them promptly and ensure a welcoming dining experience. You will open doors, take phone calls, and manage To-Go orders, while representing our team with a smile.

Ideal candidates have strong communication and multitasking skills, are able to stand all shift hours, lift up to 50 pounds, and work well in a team, flexible to shifts, with a focus on exceptional guest service and smooth seating operations.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a host is a plus.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills required.
• Ability to handle money transactions responsibly.
• Must multitask and act quickly.
• Flexible and able to work in shifts.
• Must be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Greet, seat, and escort guests.
• Open doors for guests arriving and departing.
• Assist guests with special needs.
• Process To-Go and Delivery Orders.
• Manage wait list during busy periods.
• Provide menu recommendations and information.
• Upsell additional products when appropriate.
• Take orders and relay to kitchen staff.
• Deliver food and beverages timely to guests.
• Deliver checks and collect payments.
• Keep the restaurant clean and presentable.
• Provide exceptional customer experience.
