Job summary

Live Nation Entertainment, a leading live entertainment company, is seeking a host for a high-volume venue in Minneapolis. You will greet guests, manage seating, and provide menus while maintaining exceptional guest relations and efficient flow.

The role requires a High School Diploma, strong problem solving and interpersonal skills, and flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays. Familiarity with OpenTable and MICROS POS is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, seating procedures, guest relations, problem solving.
• Diplomacy, multitasking, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to diffuse volatile situations with tact and diplomacy.
• Ability to seat guests in a high-volume restaurant efficiently.
• Adhere to uniform/appearance policy.
• Basic computer skills.
• Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Preferred: OpenTable and POS knowledge.
• Preferred: MICROS POS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and courteously in a professional manner.
• Control flow of guests entering and waiting for a table.
• Obtain guest details and needs; direct to appropriate location.
• Estimate wait times using HOB reservation system.
• Show guests to tables and provide menus.
• Anticipate and respond to guest needs and satisfaction.
• Market shows, menu items, and retail on dining tables.
• Answer questions about the menu, venue, events, and artists.
• Thank guests and invite return visits.
• Communicate wait times and large parties to staff.
• Keep host area clean and organized; maintain safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist other departments as needed; teamwork.
• Occasionally work special events.
