Job summary

Haidilao is seeking a Host/Hostess at our Bellevue, WA location. The role requires greeting guests, managing wait times, and providing menus while ensuring a smooth front-of-house flow.

You will work with team members to seat guests,Answer inquiries, and contribute to a positive dining experience. Candidates should have a high school diploma, a California Food Handler Certificate, and strong English skills; Mandarin and Spanish are a plus for guest interactions in a diverse setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• California Food Handler Certificate required.
• Previous host experience preferred.
• Fluent in English; Mandarin and Spanish helpful.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with an enthusiastic welcome and sincere goodbye.
• Maintain waiting lists, record guest names and party sizes, and provide accurate wait times.
• Present menus and answer initial questions for guests.
• Manage front-of-house flow to ensure proper seating rotation and cleanliness.
• Respond to complaints and assist in resolutions.
• Seating guests and assigning tables while balancing server workloads.
• Communicate courteously with guests, managers, and teammates.
• Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service.
• Answer phone calls, take reservations, and address inquiries.
• Complete weekly maintenance and side work, and prepare the restaurant before opening.
