Job summary

Suncoast Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas seeks a friendly cashier/host to greet guests, provide menus, and process guest checks on a computerized cash register. You will maintain an accurate bank and assist in coordinating service with restaurant staff.

Responsibilities include informing guests of specials, circulating to ensure fast, courteous service, assigning bus person and server breaks, and upholding safety and cleanliness standards. Prior cashier/host experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as cashier/host preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills required.
• Basic math skills required.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Ability to obtain/maintain any required licenses or certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide menus to guests and inform them of specials.
• Circulate through restaurant and coordinate activities of service personnel to provide fast and courteous service to customers.
• Assign bus person and food server breaks.
• Inspect and monitor cleanliness of room and compliance with safety and health code regulations.
• Resolve customer complaints, or refers to restaurant manager.
• Maintain records of number of guests served during shift, employee absences, or problems with equipment of food service.
• Operate computerized cash register to itemize and process guest checks in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain an accurate bank at all times.
