Qualifications

• Need excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Basic math skills required for handling payments and cash.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods during shifts.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort guests to their table.
• Provide menus to guests and inform them of specials.
• Circulate through the restaurant and coordinate service staff to ensure fast, courteous service.
• Assign breaks to bussers and servers.
• Inspect and monitor cleanliness of the dining area and compliance with health and safety codes.
• Resolve customer complaints or refer to the restaurant manager.
• Maintain records of guests served, employee absences, or equipment problems.
• Operate a computerized cash register to itemize and process guest checks according to procedures.
• Maintain an accurate bank balance at all times.
