Job summary

InterContinental The Clement Monterey is seeking a Server Assistant (Busser/Runner) to join our Food & Beverage team in a full-time capacity. This role supports servers and the culinary team, ensuring timely delivery of food and beverages and maintaining cleanliness across dining areas.

Ideal candidates are friendly, professional, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced setting. Prior hospitality experience and a California Food Handler Certificate are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist servers and the culinary team with timely delivery of food and beverages to guests.
• Clear, clean, sanitize, and reset tables efficiently throughout service.
• Maintain clean and organized dining, service, and work areas.
• Assist with restaurant opening, closing, and side-work responsibilities.
• Replenish glassware, silverware, linens, condiments, and other service supplies as needed.
• Communicate effectively with servers and culinary associates to ensure accurate and timely service.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly and professionally to requests.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, hotel safety, and service standards.
• Support fellow associates and other Food & Beverage areas as business needs require.
• Demonstrate a positive, professional demeanor and a genuine passion for hospitality.
