Job summary

Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill + Bar is seeking a host/hostess to greet guests, seat them, and support the dining room flow. You will help maintain a clean host stand, manage seating arrangements, and assist servers during peak times to ensure a smooth guest experience.

Applicants should be friendly, reliable, and able to stand long periods. Evening and weekend availability is required, with physical tasks such as lifting chairs and assisting with high chairs as needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and the ability to work as a TEAM.
• Friendly and outgoing personality.
• Follow appropriate food safety guidelines.
• Able to work evenings and weekends.
• Able to stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to transport and carry items such as a high chair or booster seat.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests as they enter and depart the restaurant and hold the door open for guests
• Seat guests according to the established plan and guests’ needs
• Keep host/hostess stand and waiting area clean
• Ensure menus remain clean and stocked
• Complete restroom checks and refill paper products in bathrooms, as needed
• Sanitize and wipe down all tables and sweep the area as needed and resets the table
• Assist the servers when needed by taking the initial drink order or running food to the guests in the dining room
• Complete daily opening and closing work to ensure a clean and safe environment for guests and TEAM
