Job summary

The Shack Breakfast and Lunch is seeking an energetic host/hostess to greet guests at the door and seat them with menus in hand. You will quote wait times and guide guests through their dining experience with a friendly, professional approach.

You will manage the waiting list, monitor table status, answer calls, and keep the host area tidy to ensure a smooth and welcoming front of house. This role requires a quick, customer-focused attitude and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Energetic and personable demeanor for front-of-house role.
• Ability to greet guests warmly and present menus professionally.
• Capable of answering questions about the menu and restaurant operations.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a smile and present menus as guests are seated.
• Quote wait times accurately when tables are not immediately available.
• Maintain the floor plan board and track table status (clean/dirty/occupied).
• Answer phones and provide menu information to guests.
• Assist with seating flow and ensure a positive dining experience.
• Keep host area clean, stocked, and organized.
