Job summary

Xanterra at Oasis at Death Valley is seeking an Assistant Front Desk Manager to support the Front Office Manager and uphold Xanterra quality standards in a year-round resort setting.

Based in Death Valley National Park, the role involves supervising front desk operations, training staff, and coordinating with housekeeping, valet, and maintenance to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel/front desk operations preferred.
• Familiar with hotel management software such as Opera.
• Ability to train staff and maintain standards.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with Inn and Ranch Front Office Managers daily to preempt crises and guest issues.
• Maintain AAA 4 Diamond standards for Inn Front Office operations.
• Train and cross-train employees in Front Office, Valet/Bell, and Night Audit.
• Ensure that all specific room requests are blocked promptly.
• Resolve guest issues to achieve satisfaction and loyalty.
• Fill in for Front Office Manager when needed.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping and Maintenance to resolve room issues.
• Inspect VIP rooms and monitor guest areas for quality.
