Job summary

TGI Fridays in Owings Mills, MD is seeking a friendly Host(ess) to greet Guests, seat them in the dining room or bar, and hand off to service staff. You will inform Guests of promotions and answer calls to ensure smooth operations and a seamless dining experience.

Ideal candidates can carry trays, communicate clearly in noisy environments, and provide a warm, professional first impression while maintaining Fridays standards and flow during peak times.

Qualifications

• Must be able to carry natural conversations with Guests without sounding scripted or intrusive.
• Must be able to read menus.
• Must be able to articulate clear greetings and farewells to Guests, as well as understanding requests for assistance.
• Must be able to clearly communicate Guests’ needs to team members.
• Must be able to hear well in a loud environment to answer calls and respond to requests.
• Must be able to walk and stand during entire shift.
• Must be able to carry trays or supplies (10-30 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Greet incoming and departing Guests warmly with a smile.
• Seat Guests in bar or dining area according to preference.
• Inform Guests of current promotions and introduce their server.
• Answer incoming calls promptly and provide appropriate service.
• Manage flow of Guests and provide wait times when needed.
• Tend to special Guest needs and requests.
• Follow brand standards to deliver Fridays Service Style.
• Notice Guest needs during dining to ensure high quality service.
