Job summary

Big Boy Restaurant Group in Lansing, MI is seeking entry-level hospitality team members for flexible full-time or part-time positions in our dining rooms. You’ll help create welcoming experiences for guests from the moment they arrive, ensuring excellent service and a clean, inviting setting.

Responsibilities include greeting and seating guests, explaining specials, taking carry-out orders, assisting with beverages and desserts, and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Able to remain on your feet for long periods of time.
• Sufficient strength to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to read and write English and follow recipes accurately?
• Good memory, math and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides fantastic first impressions and sets the tone for each guest’s dining experience.
• Seats guests promptly, introduces menu items and informs guests of soups and specials, highlighting the buffet.
• Answers guest questions and assists with additional needs.
• Takes and processes carry-out orders placed inside or by phone.
• Assists the service team by preparing beverages, salads and desserts as needed.
• Maintains safety and sanitation standards and keeps the dining area clean.
• Cash out guests with a friendly thank you and invite them to return.
