Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies in Owosso, MI is seeking a friendly Cashier/Checker to greet customers and provide exceptional service at the checkout. You will process transactions accurately, follow store policies, and help maintain a clean, safe shopping environment.

As a cashier, you will manage diverse payment methods, apply coupons and loyalty offers, and stay informed about daily ads. You will contribute to a welcoming experience and uphold integrity and customer care across shifts.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and assist customers at the check lane.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Handle various tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, rain checks, loyalty offers, coupons).
• Follow company policies on cash handling, shortages/overages, and restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator and stay current with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to food safety guidelines and safety procedures; identify unsafe conditions and report them.
• Assist with equipment inspections and maintenance; help create a welcoming environment for customers.
