Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies in the United States is seeking a Customer Service Cashier/Checker to deliver outstanding experiences at the checkout. You will greet customers, process transactions, and help shoppers find products while following store policies.

You will operate the POS, handle cash, checks, debit, SNAP EBT, coupons, and loyalty offers; maintain accuracy, comply with safety and food-safety rules, and support a welcoming, stress-free environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic math for transactions and change calculations.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist at the checkout.
• Process transactions quickly and accurately at the check lane.
• Operate POS system and handle cash, checks, debit, credit, SNAP EBT, coupons, and loyalty offers.
• Follow company policies on cash handling, shortages, and overages.
• Adhere to guidelines for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs) and safety procedures.
• Report pricing discrepancies and follow postages, gift cards, and coupon procedures where applicable.
• Stay informed about current and upcoming ads and promotions.
• Ensure food safety regulations are followed and equipment is inspected for safety.
