Job summary

Bass Pro Shops is seeking a friendly cashier to efficiently process transactions at the POS while delivering exceptional customer service. You will greet customers, handle purchases, and promote membership and pickup options to enhance the shopping experience.

The role requires basic math, strong communication, and the ability to operate a computerized POS system. You will work as part of a team on-site to ensure accurate checkout and helpful, knowledgeable assistance to guests.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to customers and associates.

Responsibilities

• Check out customers' merchandise through the POS registers.
• Provide friendly customer service and greet customers promptly.
• Assist customers in making buying decisions by identifying needs and giving product recommendations.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC and In-Store Pick-up.
• Stock and straighten shelves when not ringing up product.
