Job summary

PF Changs China Bistro is hiring Backwaiters in New York, NY. This position offers on-site service with full- and part-time hourly employment. Training is provided, and guests are served promptly with a focus on friendly, attentive hospitality.

Responsibilities include delivering food, maintaining clean service areas, assisting with greeting and seating, and supporting beverage service as needed. Benefits and schedules are designed to support growth in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training provided.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Possess or obtain a current Food Handler’s Card, where applicable.
• Ability to stand, reach, bend, balance, and lift up to 30 lbs repeatedly.
• Strong multitasking and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food to guests promptly and courteously.
• Monitor expo line, run trays for dine-in and assist guests with questions.
• Clear and sanitize tables, seating, and floors per restaurant standards.
• Retrieve and transport dirty dishes to the dishwashing station.
• Restock and clean service stations as needed.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as coffee machines and POS systems.
• Interact courteously with guests and notify managers of concerns.
• Follow company policies, dress code, and safety procedures.
• Assist with greeting, seating guests, answering phones, and packing takeout orders as needed.
• Support beverage preparation and responsible alcohol service when required.
