Job summary

MHG Hotels LLC in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Houseperson to ensure guest rooms and public areas are clean, orderly and welcoming. You will assist with setup, stocking, cleaning, and reporting maintenance needs to keep our facilities pristine.

The role requires a friendly, professional manner, strong teamwork, and a focus on small details to enhance guest satisfaction and efficiency in daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor always
• Respond promptly to requests from guests and other departments
• Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms
• Set up furniture items in guest rooms as requested
• Retrieve items from shelves and storerooms, set up cleaning cart with supplies, maintain carts and storerooms
• Clean and wipe windows, doors, walls, closets and fixtures in rooms and public areas
• Remove items from hallways and transport to service areas, including debris and trash
• Replace towels, soaps and all room amenities and restock literature
• Vacuum rooms, public areas, and hallways; operate vacuums up to 25 lbs; lift/move heavy furniture
• Inspect room equipment and report deficiencies to Executive Housekeeper
• Secure and maintain custody of equipment, keys and supplies
