Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking a Customer Service Associate in Suffolk, VA to help create a positive shopping experience. You will assist customers, handle sales transactions at the register, and ensure merchandise is stocked and displayed properly.

The role involves unloading trucks, replenishing stock, maintaining store cleanliness, and upholding safety and professional interactions with customers and staff. Part-time hours are available at the Suffolk location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail/food/grocery environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions while working assigned cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store well-stocked, and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and help with unloading trucks, stock replenishment.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and team members.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including restrooms, floors, and trash disposal.
• Other duties as assigned.
