Job summary

Target is seeking a Guest Advocate in Ellicott City to deliver a welcoming guest experience with friendly assistance, product guidance, and efficient checkout. You will engage with guests, explain services, and support digital features like Drive Up and online ordering.

Ideal candidates are energized by fast-paced retail, enjoy helping others, and can adapt to varying shifts including weekends and holidays. Training will cover store policies, safety, and loyalty program enrollment.

• Communicating effectively, including using positive language and attentive to guests needs
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and other team members
• Attention to detail while prioritizing tasks
• Willing to educate guests and engage around products and services
• Ability to communicate on multiple handheld scanners and technology
• Work both independently and with a team
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
• Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments
• Greet guests and assist them to find what they need or resolve issues
• End every guest transaction with a sincere thank you
• Explain and promote Target Loyalty programs and benefits
• Scan and bag items efficiently and accurately
• Stock supplies during store hours and maintain a safe work area
• Support guest services such as order pick up and drive-up operations and guide guests to use these features
