Job summary

San Diego Humane Society is hiring a full-time Guest Experience Associate at our San Diego Campus. You will be the first point of contact for guests, helping visitors and callers with questions, guiding adoptions, and ensuring a positive, professional experience for every person and pet.

Fluency in English and Spanish is required. The role supports admissions, adoptions, and community programs; the pay range is $20.75–$22.25 per hour, with benefits including PTO, retirement plan, pet discounts,

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in customer/guest services; 2 years preferred.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish required.
• Experience working with animals in a kennel, shelter, or veterinary setting preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to every guest; acknowledge entry or call, determine needs, and resolve inquiries.
• Assist guests in finding an appropriate adoption match and promote Adoption Guarantee.
• Check guests in and out for relinquishment, euthanasia and Community Spay/Neuter services.
• Cross-train across Adoptions, Admissions, Stray and Reclaim areas.

This position works 40 hours per week. **Pay:** Starting range is between $20.75 – $22.25 per hour and is eligible for an hourly bilingual-Spanish premium.The listed hiring range for this position depicts the target range of pay rates for candidates. The maximum of the hiring range is reserved for candidates with the highest qualifications and relevant experience. Compensation for internal candidates may increase beyond the listed range based on performance over time.
