Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Saint Johnsbury, Vermont, seeks a part-time Customer Service Associate to deliver a great shopping experience for every customer. You will assist customers with questions and recommendations, manage sales transactions at the cash register, and help maintain a clean, safe store.

Responsibilities include stocking merchandise, unloading trucks, and ensuring all areas are neat and presentable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hotel, restaurant, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents is required.
• Must be able to lift between 30 and 50 lbs and handle frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations.
• Manage sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets.
• Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise.
• Receive merchandise and unload trucks; stock replenishment per productivity standards.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions with customers and staff.
• Maintain store cleanliness, bathrooms, floors, and trash; ensure neat presentation.
• Other duties as assigned.
