Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Host/Hostess to warmly greet guests, escort them to tables, and assist in seating while upholding the restaurant’s standards. The role involves preparing the dining area, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting service throughout shifts.

You will be responsible for memorizing menu items, adhering to liquor regulations, and coordinating station assignments to ensure smooth operations and a welcoming guest experience.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing and math skills.
• Prior customer service and/or cash handling experience in the hospitality industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests courteously and escort to tables.
• Assist in seating and maintain restaurant setup and cleanliness.
• Know menu items, specials, and dress code.
• Ensure compliance with state liquor regulations; prevent service to minors or intoxicated persons.
• Maintain knowledge of station numbers, capacity, hours, and price ranges.
• Set up host station with supplies and report shortages.
