Job summary

Hampton in Muskogee, OK is seeking a courteous Guest Service Agent to welcome guests, check them in/out, handle reservations, and provide local information. You will process payments, coordinate room assignments, and ensure a smooth, welcoming experience for all guests.

You’ll handle guest requests, maintain lobby standards, and work varying shifts (days/nights/weekends/holidays) while following cash handling procedures and safety guidelines. This role emphasizes teamwork and proactive service.

Qualifications

• Must complete all required training in timely manner.
• Participate in daily and weekly team meetings.
• Process guest arrivals and departures including all necessary payments.
• Handle and coordinate room assignments and pre-arrivals.
• Answer switchboard with standards of proper telephone etiquette.
• Must be able to work varying shifts (days, nights, weekends, holidays).

Responsibilities

• Check guests in and out efficiently and in a friendly manner.
• Post guest charges and compute guest bills, collect payment and make change.
• Follow all cash handling procedures as required.
• Handle guest mail and messages per procedures.
• Develop knowledge of room locations, rates, amenities and selling strategies.
• Monitor room availability and assist with reservations.
• Coordinate with housekeeping on issues and communicate needs.
• Maintain lobby and desk area clean and presentable.
• Wear proper uniform as per standards.
• Participate in sales lead generation as required.
