The Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga seeks a friendly, energetic Guest Services Associate to assist guests with information on hours, tickets, memberships, IMAX, and events. You will support sales, reservations, cash handling, and customer engagement while guiding visitors through a memorable experience.

Requirements include a high school diploma (some college preferred) and 2 years of sales/customer service. Must manage peak-season lines and uphold ADA compliance during service interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or some college preferred.
• 2 years’ sales/customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to operate a cash drawer and handle money (basic math).
• Professional and enthusiastic interpersonal skills.
• Proactive and persuasive selling skills.
• Strong computer proficiency and ability to learn new software.
• Organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Handles multiple functions simultaneously.
• Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environment as needed.

Responsabilités

• Be a one-stop source for all guest questions concerning hours, ticket prices, directions, memberships, IMAX, parking, etc.
• Provide information and assist with new ticket reservations and/or existing reservations.
• Research guests’ bookings using ticketing programs and look up membership details.
• Maintain an ongoing knowledge base of Aquarium offerings and events.
• Reconcile cash drawers.
• Upsell add-ons to guests while maintaining department metrics.
• Work independently and provide a high standard of customer engagement.
• Handle long lines of customers for several hours during peak season.
• Capture customer details such as first/last name, email, zip codes, etc.
• Fulfill other required workplace responsibilities as requested.
• Ensure ADA compliance regarding service animals vetting procedures.
