Job summary

City Net seeks a Guest Engagement Associate (Day Shift) to support guests in a low-threshold interim housing site. You will assist with check-in, meal coordination, donations, and service delivery while maintaining a safe, respectful environment.

The role emphasizes empathy, boundary-setting, crisis intervention, and coordination with Case Managers, Security, and leadership. Weekend daytime schedule ensures consistent coverage and client support.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate on-site meals, services, events, and volunteers; serve meals when needed.
• Communicate meal schedules and announcements to guests and staff.
• Replenish and organize supplies; light cleaning.
• Perform crisis intervention and de-escalation.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients, staff, volunteers, and vendors.
• Greet and assist meal/service providers professionally during shifts.
• Receive, organize, and distribute donations.
• Generate donation receipts and record keeping.
• Organize inventory of City Net storage and report needs.
• Make copies and replenish City Net forms.
• Distribute meal packs when meals run out or groups cancel.
• Check and respond to shelter emails promptly.
